Modular solutions optimising the construction of the Jundiaí bridge

As part of the urban infrastructure upgrade in the municipality, the new cable-stayed bridge over the Jundiaí River stands as a key element. Featuring a central pylon 43 meters high that supports the structure on both sides, ULMA supplied 400 tonnes of a wide range of equipment designed to meet the different phases and technical requirements of the project.

The MK System, thanks to its high load bearing capacity, modularity, and flexibility, enabled the configuration of truss-shaped structures, VMK vertical formwork, and BMK climbing brackets. Moreover, as the system facilitates the pre-assembly of structures before placement, it optimised execution times without affecting stability or quality, one of the main challenges of the project.

In addition to the MK System applications, the project also incorporated COMAIN modular formwork, T-60 shoring towers, as well as BRIO scaffolding and stair towers. This combination of solutions made it possible to address each stage of construction efficiently (from the initial concrete placement phases to access and finishing works) always maintaining the required standards of safety and precision.

BRIO scaffolding provided safe, continuous access to the different working levels, while the stairs ensured smooth personnel circulation during the three-metre-high concreting phases.

ULMA’s technical support was crucial throughout the project. The specialised team provided continuous guidance on planning, assembly, and structural control of the systems, ensuring the correct application of each solution.
