Estaiada Bridge, Metro Line 4, RJ, Brazil

As part of the infrastructure plan for the 2016 Olympic Games, Line 4 of the 16-km metro will connect the city from west to south. In addition to alleviating traffic, it will transport 300,000 passengers a day and reduce the journey from 2 hours to just 15 minutes. This is the first time in Latin America that a self-climbing system has been used on the inclined pylons of a cable-stayed bridge.

The possibilities offered by ULMA's self-climbing systems can be the answer for complex civil engineering projects. Contact us without any commitment, we will be happy to advise you on what you need.
