Job Description

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain assigned sales territory (infrastructure customers in the Northeast Sates AL-FL-GA-MS-NC-SC-TN-VA) and achieve designated revenue and growth goals.  They will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships in order to obtain new customers and maintain existing customers.

Duties and responsabilities

  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.  Explain ULMA product features and benefits according to customer’s specific needs,
  • Develop and maintain a prospect and customer list in a database with key contacts that can be used by other departments such as customer service, marketing, and credit
  • Identify major customers and projects early and coordinate involvement with Branch Manager to ensure we have the best opportunity to secure work.
  • Become familiar with ULMA product and keep up to date on changes and gain familiarity of competitive product
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Increase utilization by quoting standard equipment and available inventory
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Communicate and work with customers on after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs. Work with the engineering department and Branch Manager to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely production
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Train customers' employees to operate and maintain new equipment.
  • Prepare sales proposals and order forms.
  • Reports to Branch Sales Manager or Branch Manager
  • Negotiate details of contracts and payments.
  • Maintain customer/prospect database
  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering to ensure accurate proposals
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits instructing workers in safe and proper utilization of equipment

Experience, education, skills and abilities

  • 4 to 6 years in the construction equipment industry – preferably in concrete formwork.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints.
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices.
  • Managerial Skills
  • Knowledgeable in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office.

Compensation

  • Salary is based on experience.
