Job Description

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain new market and sales territories in the states of Indiana, Kentucky & Missouri. The ideal candidate will also develop and maintain a strong and trusting rapport with new customers who may be unfamiliar with ULMA products and services. The ideal candidate will expand ULMA's presence in new markets.

Duties and responsabilities

  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
  • Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements.
  • Maintain customer records, using automated systems.
  • Communicate clearly with engineering to ensure accurate proposal to project delivery materials and quantities

Experience, education, skills and abilities

  • Associate degree in Business, Engineering or Construction.
  • 2-4 years of related Sales experience, specifically rebar, concrete, or concrete-related products, required
  • 2-4 years of Customer Service experience.
  • Concrete subcontracting, PM, project engineering, or concrete superintendent experience, a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and thorough.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Time-management and multitasking skills required.
  • Good communication & Organizational skills required.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Compensation

  • $65,000 - $85,000 Annually
  • Salary is based on experience.

Supplemental Pay:

  • Commission pay

Work Location: On the road – Travel up to 50%
