A modern hotel arrival to the Village District
A new hotel in the city of Raleigh, introducing modern amenities in a Village District

Description

In the city of Raleigh in North Carolina, a new 8-story hotel is being introduced to the area called the Oberlin Hotel. Having 153 guestrooms, a presidential suite, and a 5,701 SF rooftop restaurant on the 6th floor is the perfect blend for guests to enjoy their experience in the city. ULMA was proud to be a part of this project to introduce systems such as our FORMADECK 8x8, PERIMETER TABLES, MEGALITE, and KSP; a combination of forming and shoring products used to build elevator shafts to walls and columns. This hotel included many challenging moments as well, however, with ULMA we are here to find the solution to any complex situation that may arise.

ULMA Solution

At the start of the project ULMA was honored to learn how our shoring systems played a big role in making the assembly easy to use and faster for workers to complete every cycle on time. Our MEGALITE system was used to create the walls and columns, using 8’x18” panels and 8’x12”. The other systems used on this site included ALUPROP post shores and a 1m extension allowing stability on each floor to support the concrete. We also used our PERIMETER TABLE for each floor, allowing a smooth and easy transition for 8 workers to get three or four thousand square feet per day. Here with ULMA, we are always at our customers’ disposal to make sure our systems are reliable for any project size, anywhere, any time.
