ULMA’s new FORMADECK Drop Head Shoring System at Atlantic Station in Stamford, CT

Oct 31, 2016
A mixed-use development, where ULMA provides the slab formwork.

Atlantic Station is a mixed-use development which converted the historic U.S. Post Office on Atlantic Street in Stamford, CT into a retail center with two high-rise apartment complexes. The “north tower” will have 21 floors, and the “south tower” 29 floors, housing a total of 650 residential units and parking for more than 800 cars with spectacular views of Long Island Sound and Manhattan.

ULMA proposed the use of FORMADECK, a post, joist and drop head shoring system designed to maximize labor productivity and efficiency through the use of 8’ x 8’ and 8’ X 6’ grid patterns.
