The Dubai Metro is the first urban train service in the Arabian peninsula, with a total of 52.1 km and 47 stations. It consists of a fully automated metro network for which 10 stations have been completed to date.

The first two lines (red and green) travel through two-way elevated viaducts, except in the downtown area of the city, which has underground lines.

Four stations have been completed. Three correspond to the green line (Al Ras, Ghubaiba, Baniyas Square) and one to the red line (Union Square).

ULMA Solution

Using the ENKOFLEX Horizontal Formwork, made up of standard pieces, the concrete slabs with a thickness of up to 1.6 m were cast in a profitable manner. Since this is a formwork of independent beams, its versatility enabled it to correctly adapt to the irregular slabs.

As in any other case, both ENKOFLEX system as well as the rest of the products used offered the highest safety and quality standards. The weight of the up to 12 m high slabs was born by T-60 shoring towers along with EP Props. The shoring towers, fast and easy to erect, were easy to transfer from one location to another without being dismantled.
